Default Tires/Wheels

Ok - can't find my orginal thread, and the search function isn't working right now. I remember many people have said that for autoX that the V710 are excellent. Now that I know the tire, need to decided on what size. Since I have aftermarket brakes, I have to stay with 18" wheels.

The V710's come in 245 and 285 in the 18" wheel. I would like to stay with the same width of tire to balance the car all the way around. If I went with the 285's I would need to get at least a 9.5 width wheel.

So the question is - will a 285 fit in the front?

If so any one know the offset?

just looking around with a 275 mounted, i'm not sure another 10mm will fit on the front. what type of wheels are you going with?

are you sure it's impossible to find a right offset wheel to clear the calipers.. or are the calipers so massive it wont fit under a 17?

Have not bought the wheels, trying to get the right tire/wheel combo. Not sure if 17's will fit on my 355mm (14"), 6 piston brakes. I would like to get 17's since I would have much better wheel/tire choices for the track!

yeah. with a 14" bbk i think if it just had the right offset it would have no problem clearing. have you tried messaging j ritt (stoptech represetative on forums) and asking about offsets? i know he ran a 17x9 enkei on his car with stoptechs. actually.. he's selling them right now...

Checked last night - 17 will not fit my calipers, j ritt has 335mm rotors and the 20 mm makes a difference.

Lookup 350ZNV, he's got 285F and 315R on 18" wheels. He's got the VRT setup.

No need to look me up for I am here lol. Anyways I run at 285/30/18 on a 9.5" Nismo LMGT4 with +30 offset. The catch is, it has to be just that. A 10" rim wont work and neither will a 285/35/18, and the offset has to be +30. There are lots of ways to fit a 285 in the rear though.

Have a look at this topic for 17" wheels

https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/139448-is-there-a-17-wheel-that-can-go-over-14-stoptechs.html

5Zigen FN01R-C. I seem to remember someone selling his "17x9 all around" package?

If anyone wants my Weds TC-05's they're 17x9.0 et 20 all around and clear the Stoptech 14's... I know it's not a long term solution for everyone, but at least one of you can benefit from these rare wheel

Thanks for the info, looks like 5Zigen has the same brakes as me. If a 17" will fit, than my tires will be so much cheaper!!!

The post I linked to is still "active", feel free to add to it. The original poster went for a different 18" wheel in the end. But you might still have some options.
