I suggest you call them up and ask them POINT BLANK if it is covered, and if they state that it IS ask them to point out in your policy where it specifically states that there is coverage. If they can't do that then get them to "put it in writing". Most likely they won't tell you it’s covered, so ask them to direct you to the policy wording that "excludes" coverage.

I'd love to here what you find out......

Most insurance companies will cover HPDE track racing (NASA) as "driving school" because you go through courses with a qualified instructor before you are allowed to race by yourself. Im not sure about other kinds of racing, but NASA is covered by most insurance companies.

Guys... please, please, please do a search...

This topic has been covered many many times (not specifically to esurance, but still)... In fact, more and more insurance companies are specifically exluding any on-track activity, competitive or otherwise (including autocross). So you really should pull out a copy of your policy (which they are required to send you a copy of every 6 months I think) and read it completely.

I don't necessarily recommend asking your CURRENT insurance carrier directly about it, as there have been horror stories of red flags being thrown up on your account... I think it would be a good idea to ask prospective carriers.
