Don't worry - it will be worth the wait! What color is she going to be? What number will you run on her? What tires are you going to run on her at the track?

She is green with white stripes! I'll have to look over the numbers list for NASA and see whats taken, but for time being 05 because thats whats on it.
The series only allows Kumho victoracer or v710's. Till I get my feet wet the plain ol victoracers will do.

Still got to mail the tape to you, sorry for my slackness....I have been preoccupied

Default Finally pics!

Well she arrived last wednesday but we have been having way to much fun driving around!
Any way here are the pictures!

The car sits much lower than what the pic shows, I had to use a floor jack to get it on the lift!

Sparse interior as it should be...

Thansk Stacy!
Yeah it gets trailered out of my street, I have all ready had to rebend the front air damn.
The harness on the left and right side of the seats are bolted to ears that come up from the tubular chassie. The shoulder harness passes between the passenger compartment and the trunk where it wraps around another bar in the trunk. Of course the anit-sub harness is bolted to one of the seat bolts.

It's retro back to original cobra, but actually works strang enough. The trans is mounted that far back so the sift lever is directly mounted to the shift forks, thats what gives it the unusual position.
My first thoughts were to move it to a more normal position but it communicates the gates very well.

On a side note I took her to an autocross today with great results. FTD was roughly 38.5 with race tires, our time with street rubber (to lazy to swap to race) was a 41.2. Can't wait to get it on the track where the brakes might work!

Great looking car Mike. Can't wait to see her on track. There was a Factory Five at Barber this weekend - man those things are fast in the corners.

Awesome car -- congrats on getting a real race car.

One thing -- I was at Buttonwillow racing with NASA (I race SE-R Cup) when Dan Lawson flipped his FFR end over end and died. It was a terribly tragic accident. Remember -- you are in an open top racer which has its own inherent dangers.

Yes I read about the loss of Mr. Lawson, but did not know the details of the accident. Thinking about a Petty bar install to assist in such an event.
I started to build a SE-R last for NASA but sold it when a friend wanted to buy it.

Thanks again to everyone for the compliments!

I kinda stuck myself in a pickel for getting a liscense for road racing. If I go thru NASA to get the liscense SCCA may not accept it, but if I go thru SCCA to get the liscense NASA will accept it. Sounds about stupid to me but its not my rule.
So here where RA comes in. In September their is a SCCA Liscense school in Daytona that I want to go to. Also in September Roebling will reopen the newly repaved track that I want to run on as well with seat-time. And at the end of October there is another school for SCCA liscense at Summit Point. So my funds for doing all four are tight.
But I do want to drive RA.......what to do?
I will let you know for sure tomorrow, I may decide to eat Ramon noodles for a couple of weeks!

Nice Car! Looks like you have Dunlop Super Sport races as rubber. I would toss them ASAP. I used them awhile back when Tirerack had them for less than 100 a piece. They were HORRIBLE.

I did the SCCA route. Definately better -- pretty much every organization accepts SCCA.

If you want to know more about what happened with Dan Lawson -- give me a call. I my opinion there is a flaw in the cage design of the FFR. It needs a halo cage to be properly safe -- again, IMHO.

Thats do able. Who with?
EDIT: never mind found it under NASA's Florida regions website.

Will you be running NASA at Roebling in September? (I know I'm change my mind way to much) I'm working on that and seat-time who will be running the Friday a week before NASA's event. We would be one of the first on the new asphault!
I know Mike Hill is in for the seat-time event and thinking about NASA.

I was going to do Sebring with Chin in October. If you want seat time - you will get it with Chin! At Barber with Chin I got about 7 hours of track time in two days, and I could have gotten more.
