How do you attend a PCA event?
I am registering for a PCA event in Illinois and I read that membership is required. Is this true? Also, what other groups require this? I know NASA does. SCCA does as well. But those are not car specific.
Clubs such as Pennsylvania SCCA do not require membership. You can pre-register online for many events, or sign-up the day of the race. Usually SCCA members get a discount on the race cost.
The Chicago PCA does not require a membership for most of their events. Sometimes if a PCA event is real popular like the Road America event, then non-PCA members will not be able to register. Which event are you thinking of attending, the August 23rd Blackhawk Farms event?
Yes the 23rd at Blackhawk.
Should I just send in the application and my check?

Also, a couple of other people with Z's should be at this event with you. I would go, except the car is currently in the shop. I might stop by to watch though.
By the way, I know the Central Indiana PCA has a roadcourse event in Sept. I've run with them several times and it's an easy sign up over the internet. The Putnam event is very well run. If the Chicago one is filled the Putnam Track almost always has openings for non-Porsche drivers if you sign up early.
