I figured this would be an appropriate place to post since I'm assuming that there are some pretty knowledgable people in here, with regards to suspension tuning.
Anyway, I would like to learn more about suspension tuning ie. purpose/benefits of corner weighing, compression and rebound settings, etc. So, I was wondering if you all could suggest some good material to read through like books, websites and all that good stuff. I'm looking for more of the "scientific" explanations but in laymans terms..
Thanks

If any of your freinds read "Sport Compact Car" and save their old issues, this topic has been covered extensively in the past year. The current issue discusses damper compession and rebound. They have also covered center of gravity, alignment, lowering, monotube vs. twin tube dampers, and a host of other stuff. The articles are called "Making it Stick" in the tech section towards the back of the magazine. They even use a 350Z in their examples.

This doesn't necessarily cover tuning but there some REALLY good explanations of fundamentals of different types of suspensions here.

This guy has a few suspension books in his recommended reading page (and the rest of his site is interesting as well):

As most of us are not professional race engineers, I would also recommend buying a book and reading. Carroll Smith has probably forgot more than any of us here know.
