Yeah it's been discussed before. That's an old article. They hit 1.0g on a skidpad and that's cool and all, but remember that they set out to make it slide easier. A year later they put it up against some other cars at the track, and Mike Kojima was the driver. He summed up the car's handling the best when he wrote, "that on the track, it was a slow oversteering hellbeast." Apparantly a lot of fun for powerslides, not the best for being fast.

So the stagger is still recommended, or were the wheels too big?

If I recall, the day Mike Kojima took it out on the track it was raining. All of their cars sucked, and the Evo MR beat them all. I think a front wheel drive car that wasn't tuned much yet also did well. Go figure- BFG KD's and a KAAZ LSD in a supercharged car having oversteer issues on a wet racetrack.

My setup is pretty similar to theirs. I nearly peed myself driving home one day in icy conditions. I never thought driving the speed limit on a public road could be so harrowing. It was mostly due to the LSD and dry weather tires.
