Don't recall what Mike and Scott were running for modified class at Cal Speedway this weekend.
I just recently read through a copy of this mag. Realized it wasn't the Import Tuner crap I thought it was, and actually is pretty good. Congrats on getting some acknowledgement in there!
Modified is kind of hit and miss. Once in a while they say something really dumb, which calls into question their credibility. A couple examples are their comments on how the Z's suspension differs depending on the option package, how putting a carbon fiber hood on a Z was a significant weight loss, and how they were afraid to track their project Z after Tarzan Yamada spun it during it's innagural test drive. (Right before the SEMA unveiling, but they still sounded like sissies in the write up, with no comments on how they would campaign the car later after throwing so much cash into performance parts and tuning)
On the other hand, they have some reasonable tech articles, and feature some really nice rides. They don't fall victim to ricey phenomena, and guys like RJ and Tarzan offer respectable viewpoints on the tuning industry and getting into racing. I still subscribe and look forward to getting the new issue each month.
