Default How tall are you?

I'm firmly set on getting a Z this spring and do attend HPDE and run autocross. I'm 6'3". Will I have trouble fitting in comfortably with a helmet? When I test drove 2003 Touring, it was ok, I'm just not sure if the helmet would be rubbing the headliner.

So, please share your experience.

Thanks.

I'm 6'1, w/ my helmet i hit the head liner. But i also sit straight up and dont gangster around w/ my seat laid down. So i'm assuming that unless you tilt back your gonna be kinking your neck on tha roof.

6'1" My head is barely under the liner with a helmet, I sit a little laid back and far from the steering wheel.

6 foot with driver seat sparco mounted with no sliders so it wouldnt hit, only downfall is that the seat is permanently mounted but it gives you another inch or two of headroom....

i have the sliders sitting here, i should try to sell them..

i find that height alone won't really help.. though i think you will fit..

though people are the same height sometimes.. what really matter is how long your legs are or how long your torso is... i have a friend who is 5'10 and he wears 34 length pants.. but i am 6'3 and i wear 32 length pants..

just some food for thought

My friend is almost 6'7" and he fit in the car pretty well granted the seat was all the way back, the steering wheel up and not wearing a helmet. But he still fit in the car with a little head room so i'm assuming if someone who's nearly 4" taller than you can fit you should be around his head room with the helmet.

I am 6' 4" and with the stock seat and helmet, it was OK, yet could feel it rub every once in a while. Yet, overall height doesn't mean anything since other people with Z's that I know that are 2" shorter than me, have a lot of problems with their helmet rubbing.

6'3'' and plenty of room with my helmet on, but I have long legs and problems with heal/toe because my legs hit the steering wheel.

My son is 6-5 and he uses a Butler custom seat in the race car and fits very well. The door side bars make it difficult to get in but its not impossible.

Thanks everyone.

That's what I gathered from my test drive. When heel-toeing, my leg felt jammed between the wheel and the centre side panel. My only annoyance with the Z was the lack of telescopic adjustment of the wheel. When turning the wheel quickly, I think my hands were hitting my legs a couple of times.

But then you squeeze the throttle and hear that awesome VQ growl and you forget that you have a rash on your hands and knuckles and that you're going bald because your head is rubbing the headliner.

In my GTI, I always have proper driving position although the footwell is not as deep as I would have liked.

p.s. I'm never laying back with left arm stretched over right side of the wheel.

I'm a shade under 6...with shoes on, I'm almost 6'1. I fit better in my 240 than then 350 but the 350 is a comfy fit for me and my 6'2- 6'3 buddies...I took that into account because I DO plan on some autocrossing in the future...
