THe first one is leading a Z into a turn.

This one is chasing down a Lotus into the Cotton Corners (we passed him on the inside of Riverside Sweeper just a bit farther down the track)

THis one is going through Riverside. Note the suspension loading on the left side.

This one is just after we passed an M3 going into Cotton Corners. Note the right front wheel up on the berm at the apex

Here we are going through the esses, and have the left cutting across the berm, "straightening" out the section.

Here we are catching a little Spec Racer in the Esses

This is just a fun shot going up the hill into the third turn at the Cotton Corners

Very nice pictures! looks really fun. I am jealous of how good they came out compared to my track pics
Was this a speedventures event?
oh and Im also jealous of your driving skills (Ill get there, I dunno how long though)
I have some questions which you may be sick of answering already (If so I apologize in advance)
1. what camber settings are you on? did you experience any change with the braking with the camber settings or uneven/fast tire wear?
2. I understand you had the front diffuser on and I read your thread that it helped out alot. Did the rear wing helped out alot (keyword: alot) as well in turn exit accelerations/maintenance of speed in corners and did it show on your lap times?
3. Which Stance coilovers are you using and would you recommend them vs spring and shock combo for less street/more track use?

Hi Paulie:
No problem with questions. It is why we are all here! To help out and gain knowledge through working together.
Running -3.5 camber in front, -1.5 rear. The tire wear is pretty even in front, perhaps just a smidge more on the inside, as you would expect. This is on DOT R tires, so bear in mind you only get about 4 to 6 days on a set of rubber anyway. Street tires, where you are doing daily driver duty in addition to track, is another matter. So what I would suggest is that if you do DD for your car, get an adjustable front UCA and take out some of the neg camber when you finish your track day, for otherwise you will definitely lose tire life through uneven wear.
The rear wing is a much bigger feature to downforce than the splitter. The splitter helps. The wing is HUGE grip benefit, as long as you are going more than 60mph, and especially more than 100mph. There is drag on the straights, but the TT just overwhelms it. The benefit is high speed turns in particular. I am not entirely comfortable with it yet. When you are used to taking a particular turn at a "proven" limit.....it is hard to throw yourself in there at 5more mph!!!! But when you do and have three more feet of track out space........you become a believer. The challenge is that the distribution is not the same front versus rear, and I have to get used to that on corner entry in particular.
I am using the ones for the Z33 with a bit of adjustment to the rears. I am going to switch out to a new set of 24 way adjustable coilovers customized by VRT, starting sometime in May or June. The Stance are very good, but perhaps a bit stiff for DD. Really a matter of personal choice on what you like. I like a 10lb flywheel and a mechanical LSD, and have no second thoughts about driving it in freeway traffic.....(so that is a confession that I am not a guy to be asking whether something is an acceptable compromise between comfort/utility and performance!)
Hope that helps.
Ed

I'm surprised that they let the SRFs and sedans run at the same time on the track. As long as the sedan drivers are paying attention, I guess it would be OK. And don't **** off that SRF driver. He's a big guy!

That's correct. Apparently your camera got lose and hit you upside the head, lol.
I rememebr seeing your bright white car come back into the paddock with chunks of brown back all over it.
I slid into the mud chasing a Mini S. I missed my apex by about 2 1/2 feet. 3 other cars slid after me and one slid within 2 feet of my car in the mud. However, after that, I ran perfect (to me ) laps and got better times.
Good times!

The car was bellied in the goop and I had to get hauled out (keep that tow hook mounted in the front when you go out on the track!) THe undercarriage picked up about fifty pounds or more of mud. It was in the springs, scooped into the rear bumper, and the wheels were fully engulfed to the brake rotors all around. I washed and washed and washed the underside with a hose. Weeks later hunks of it were drying out and falling on the pavement behind me. The stuff when dry has a silty consistency of talcum, and when wet is almost like dark grey sticky adhesive. Nasty stuff.
