Default Selling my racing Wheels & r-comp Tires

I hate to do this, but it's time for me to pass this setup onto another track/autox oriented member. Figured I'd post it here since it's where we all hang out :thewave:
Non-staggered setup so you can rotate/flip the wheels/tires and provides more balanced/predictable handling. Used for less than 10 autox practice sessions, and are in great shape.

A-Tech Finalspeed (JDM wheel that is rebranded as MB Motorsports Competition in the US)
Gunmetal
17x9 +27 all around
Clears Brembos
No fender modification needed

Avon Tech-R r-compound tires
275/40/17 all around
1/32-2/32 remaining tread
Regularly rotated for pretty even wear
Should last at least one trackday or quite a few autox days.

This setup retails for around $1500 not incl. tax and/or s/h. Asking just $800 shipped.

$800 for the entire set shipped? That's a great deal! Too bad I already have two auto-x/track setups. The rims alone are probably over $600 plus shipping. Heck, if you're local, you can probably negotiate a lower price.

If you look further in this forum, there are other threads similar to this one but no one has said anything. I'm not saying it's correct but just simply stating what's been going on.

We are trying to curtail it. It's not just this thread.

How about posting in the marketplace and linking to it in this forum? This sort of race stuff gets lost in all the street stuff in the marketplace and I imagine the people that tend to pick stuff up like this weren't initially in the market for it and therefore don't frequent the marketplace.

I was going to post it in the usual wheels/tires classifieds, but thought exactly that.

What you're saying seems like a good idea for future reference, if the mods are cool with it.

We are getting ready to add a Racing/Track section to the market place (like today or tomorrow). We will move a lot of the FS stuff from here to there, and give ads like this a proper place to go.

Side question, what class did the rcompounds throw you into?

I'm trying to decide how to compete, I have sway bars and an exhaust on a g35 coupe.

you should download a copy of SCCA's rulebook...but here's the quick answer:

Stock -
1) any tire (including R-comps), wheels need to be within 1/2" offset and same size as OE wheels
2) front sway bar
3) intake filter element only
4) Cat back exhaust.
..there's a few others, but those are the main ones.

*so your rear sway bar puts you into Street Prepared.
