Cal Speedway Dec 1 &2 Nissan Performance fest/Speedventures
quote
Friends, Race Car Drivers, Thrill Seekers,
Below is the skeletal beginnings of our classing system for the upcoming NISSAN / Infinity Challenge to be held December 1 & 2 at California Speedway as part of the Nissan Performance Festival (www.nissanperformancefest.com). Please comment at will.
NOTE: This competition is open to all Nissan & Infinity cars. At present it does not take into consideration older/vintage cars, but we hope it will eventually.
NOTE: this classification is NOT OFFICIAL. It is a working classification, still under review. Do not make critical decisions regarding your car setup based on the following system. Once it is finalized it will be listed as FINAL. It is our intention to match the classes to that of the largest number of cars participating in the competition.
Every single part on the car must be OEM/Stock and ALL original parts must be on the car, unless listed below. You must obtain permission from Speed Ventures to run a modification or deletion in advance. If it is considered to have no performance advantage, it may be allowed.
STOCK CLASS

any Exhaust
any Clutch
any Flywheel
any Wheels
any Swaybar
any Strut Tower Braces
any Springs (must have original factory shocks)
any Brake pads
any Brake fluid
any Seats (passenger seat must be present with belts)
any Safety Belts
any Roll Protection
any Safety Equipment
Tires 120+ treadwear

any Brakes
Any DOT-R Tires, Except: no Hoosiers, no Kumho V710 (other Kumho's OK)
Minimum Weight: 3000lbs after competing, without Driver
UNLIMITED CLASS (includes all modifications/deletions from MODIFIED & STOCK classes, plus those listed below)
Any Engine Modifications (Built Motors OK, OEM Long Block Required)
Turbo & Superchargers Allowed (OEM Long Block Required)
Any DOT Tire Minimum Weight: 2800lbs, after competing, without Driver
This was all taken from the Speenventures site. So is anyone going ??? Looks like this should be my first Time Attack (stock class)

The Nissan Performance Festival is an autocross, HPDE (roval) and Toys for Tots Car Show all rolled into one huge event.
Cheers, Ted

A little more info for those not checking the socal forum and only looking at the Autocross thread:
2) We've had a lot of questions in regards to the Autocross:
The autocross course will be set in an infield parking lot at California
Speedway and will be designed as much as possible to SCCA standards by an
experienced course designer. Course length will be approximately 35-40
seconds with a top speed of 50-60 mph. It would be comparable to a Pro Solo course. Drivers can expect to get 10+ runs on the course. A timing system will be also be in place. Autocross is $80. A helmet is required; motorcycle helmets are acceptable.
