I shaved mine because I was told it helps to prevent them from chunking.

afaik they are discontinuing the victoracer / v700 line

i recommend victoracers as well for your particular situation. they are pretty sticky and able to be driven to events. I put mine through a full season driving them to events (approx 5 miles) and back and they still had around half life left.

yeah its no hoosier or v710, but they are really good for the price and what you are looking for as far as street ability.

Buy the new Grassroots Motorsports Magazine. They just did a comparo on 4 or 5 different R-tires all of which have been mentioned here. They are really good at reviews.
