I watched it last night....(race was in october as most of you probably know) that was some pretty embarrassing driving from john black in the Z that had the pole..... the celica got the jump on him right away, then black tried several amateurish attempts to get around the celica and ended up putting himself out of the race..... It almost looked as if the celica hit it early to get the jump and that caused black to go into rampage mode..... if he would have just relaxed and waited for a good opportunity to pass he might have won. It was very impressive that the celica was able to recover from the collision and eventually come back to win the race.

Thoughts?

 

damnit i hate i missed it. hopefully (and knowing speed channel) it will be replayed a couple hundred times. i had all the run offs DVR'd up until a few days ago, need to ga back and catch up. Thanks for the update!

 

I've got a lot of races scheduled to record on my DVR, hopefully that is one of them.

 

The way that I saw it, John Black was a bit faster through 1-4, and was on the inside for 5, realized that he was not far enough alongside to take the corner, so he hit the brakes, the back end started around and from that point on he was a passenger.

 

I saw it that way too.... but mainly he was faster through the turns because he wasn't exhibiting restraint.... the race had just started and he kept going ***** to the wall trying to blast his way past on the inside....and it ended up costing him big. It looked very amateurish to me.

 

What day and time on the DVR.. so I can schedule it?

 

it was on late at night when i watched it... like 2 in the morning...
