Default Fire extinguisher & mounting solutions

Hey track guys...

I want to get a fire extinguisher and mount, preferably under the passenger or driver seat. I'm looking for a solution I can buy.. I don't have the skillz or tools to fabricate anything.

I searched this site but the search sucks and I didn't find anything conclusive (I did find people asking, and some home-made solutions). I also searched on google and didn't find a mount specific to the 350Z. I don't have a harness bar to mount it to. Thanks for any help..

comes with mount. then use hose clamps or something to attach to seat base.

^ much better than "hose clamps" (wtf?!?!?) those are meant to be thru-bolted or at a BARE minimum sheet-metal-screwed into something (hence the holes).

This is too easy. Mount the extinguisher in front of the passenger seat by drilling two holes thru the carpet and floor pan. Inset two sheet metal screws of a somewhat large size and attach bracket to floor. Insert extinguisher and clamp closed. Tools needed are a drill, drill bit and screw driver appropriate for the selected screws. Installation time about 10 minutes.

just curious, why do you want one in the car?

+1 on racerbob's idea. seems easy and to the point.

I don't know about sheet metal screws holding down a fire extinguisher in a crash. That's asking for a flying object I wouldn't want a close encounter with.
