Default Piloti shoes question

Its christmas time and I want a pair. I need to ask for the right size do they run big or small. If you normally wear a 10.5 or 11 would you go with 10.5 or 11 in piloti?
I know this might seem a little odd but hey its gear for me when I do track days.

I went with a half size bigger and they fit except they do not offer a REAL wide shoe.

I order mine the same size as my 'normal' shoes. Fit very well in fact usually wear them for daily use.

I bought the same size I wear in a Nike and they fit perfect. They may run just a tad big but not much. It really depends on the shoes that you buy how they will fit. Some have more padding around the ankle than others. The ankle is where I found the largest discrepancy.

I appreciate the responses but unfortunately my question was still not answered if you are between a 10.5 and 11 would you go 10.5 or 11? I was at nike the other day and tried a couple different pairs of shoes and was either a 10.5 or 11 sometimes it sucks to be me. I don't want them to big it would defeat the purpose.

The shop I got mine from (Surge Street, no longer in business) said they run a little small. I'm a 9.5, and got 10's. They fit good. I think the tread is R compound though, because the heels wore out in no time.

I prefer small w/ racing shoes but then I swap them out in between run groups and wear street shoes (esp at autox when you're chasing down cones). both sets of pilotis I have ran narrow tho, ymmv

Go 10.5. I where Air Max Tailwinds religiously and I were the same exact size in my Piloti's. My Monaco's with the nomex lining run a tad bit bigger than do my Monza's. Take a look at the shoe and you can determine if they will run a tad bigger or smaller by looking at the padding in the ankle. If the ankle is padded get the 11 if it isn't get the 10.5. Hopefully that clears things up for you.
