Default Texas World Speedway this weekend - anyone else going?

As the title says... is anyone else going to the Texas World Speedway Motorsport Club event this weekend in College Station?

Wish I could make it but have to attend the wife's Christmas party for work on Sunday.
Have you made any changes since the last event you'll be testing out?
I need to work on getting my pics and vids posted from the last few events.

I haven't made any changes, except putting new brake pads on after wearing mine down to the metal Thanks again for letting me borrow yours for the drive home last month. I have a new rotor and I'm going to try and rebuild the front calipers tomorrow night (new piston seals & dust boots). Hmm I just realized I forgot to get those crush washers too.. darnit.

The biggest change for me lately is that I bought a new '95 MR2 turbo (after selling one recently)... this one already has suspension work done, decent wheels/tires, and some engine mods, so it's pretty much track-ready. I hope to have it at the track in January after shaking it out a bit more. I'll be really happy if I can come close to matching my Z lap times in the MR2.

I wouldn't mind running clockwise this time, it's fun and it'd even out my tire wear

I've been to tws at least 6 or 7 times now and still haven't run it clockwise. Maybe next year.
Congrats on the MR2 purchase. Always loved those cars even though they looked like a b1tch to work on.

The weekend went well. Temperatures were cold -- ranging from 33 degrees F to about 49, very windy on saturday. The lower temps must have helped horsepower... everyone was noticing their speed was higher than normal at the end of the main straightaway. I set a new personal best lap time (counterclockwise) of 1:58.33, and set one or two other sub-1:59 times -- I had never beat 2 minutes before. The tires were just great (Yokohama AD07 street tires, 265/35/18 all around). I was able to keep up with a pretty good driver in a red Porsche GT3 - he would leave me on the straightaways, and I'd catch back up at the next turn. It's fun keeping up with a car worth what, $100,000?

Next goal? Better than 1:58.33
