^ nice.... i want a flat bed where i can open the doors of the Z to get out... ive seen some people bolt down 2x12's down so that the car drives up on the 2x12 boards and raises up higher just so the doors clear the trailer tire wheel wells.
my trailer i have to climb out of the window of the Z to get in and out...that bites!!!

why not just make the fenders on the trailer removable. I see a lot of trailers at the track with the left fender laying on the ground.
you can find race car trailers all day for about 1200 bucks around here. used of course.

^^ Yes. my left fender comes off. there would be no way to get out without being able to remove that. Even with the vertical door kit. My car is always too close to it. My husband in the pic above is putting it back on.

I bought my car from Louisiana, and I live in Houston. I didn't want to drive my brand new car from Louisiana to Houston, so I hooked a u-haul trailor onto the back of my dad's truck and went to Louisiana to pickup the Z.
Honestly it was a pain in the @ss.
When we got to Louisiana, the sale went smoothly, but getting the car on the trailor without scratching the front bumper was a b!tch. We encountered other problems too, like when I drove the car onto the trailor (I was nervous b/c I didn't want to accelerate too much and just fall off ). I rode it on safely but I was a mere inch away from scraping my front bumper onto a little bumper that was on the trailor. Kind of hard to explain. After that, I couldn't get out b/c the wheel wells of the trailor wouldn't let me open my door to get out . So I had to climb out the hatch. After that we had to go to home depot to grab some cheap insurance like tie downs and some pieces of wood. After sweating for hours in the Louisiana summer, we finally got the car on safely. I was so happy. We got home and I put the Z in the garage with only 11 miles on the odo. The trailor only cost like $39 or something.

A lighter trailer is better for decreased total towing weight. Featherlite is considered by many to be a benchmark trailer. As was stated above, used trailers are easily found and far cheaper.

We use at 28' Pace enclosed which gets the Z and a golf cart in as well as
24" deep cabinets up front. What we used before this is a two runner trailer much like the U-Haul trailer pictured. You should be able to find a 16' long twin runner with dual axel. Dont buy one with a full bed as that is nothing but dead weight you will be hauling around for no real purpose. The open center section also lets you drain the trans or rear if you have to. Our ramps stored under the main runners and were about 5' long. We also bought an aluminum box that was almost the full width of the trailer and would handle 3 of those Costco plastic boxes for oil, tools and spare parts. We did that trailer for 8 years and it worked great. I think they sell for about $1600 to $1800 currently with dual axels. Also be sure it has a 2 5/16" ball connector so you get some beef in case of problems. Good luck.

a featherlite is in my sights as well, as soon as i could find a place to put it when i'm not usin' it. i use my '07 armada w/a uhaul trailer to get my car to and from the track (if it's far enough). it works rather well, has a lot of power to spare, even on the uphills.

I trailer my race wheels behind my G35 on a small utility trailer, along with a large toolbox for the jack and stands and miscellaneous tools. Yes, I take my daily driver to the track on a regular basis.
Last year when I went to Motor Park Hastings in Hastings, Nebraska, I had to drive through some pretty small towns to get there. My G towing a mini trailer got some weird looks. I also had problems finding gas on the way there; most places had three grades of gas: Unleaded 87, clear diesel, and dyed diesel

I have an 18' Open trailer and tow with our 04 Armada. As others have said, the beast is a great tow vehicle with plenty of nice features like standard Electric brake controller, trans cooler, and full tow mode with jake brake.
