Who's going to Thunderbolt!
A new track is coming to Millville, NJ: Thunderbolt Raceway! It opens in June, and some groups are already taking registrations for events there this summer. We talked about it in this thread, two years ago.
It's great for me, because it's only 140 miles away, closer than any other track except Summit Point (72 miles). I might be going there a lot in the next few years.
Anyone want to put together a Z contingent for one of this summer's events? I'm thinking NASA/PDA or the Del Val BMWCCA, both in August. I've run with both groups, and they're well organized and safe.
What do you say?

Glad to hear of another club racing circuit coming on-line. Even though Thunderbolt is too far away for me to easily visit, it's encouraging to know that more tracks are being built to replace ones like Bridgehampton.
It also seems there's quite a few good road racing tracks around the NOVA area now. Besides having a couple of different configurations around Summit, VIR must be pretty close as well? When I lived in Falls Church in the mid-80's, I raced with the Eastern Motor Racing Association (EMRA) for a couple of seasons. Lime Rock Park, Pocono (long course) and Summit Point were some of the tracks that are forever etched in my mind.
