String Alignment
I finally found a use for the front and rear tow hook fittings
If you are bored and have a couple of hours (and a euro spec rear bumper with a centre tow hook hole) you can make a pretty decent string alignment setup for cheap. I always liked smart strings, but they are over $600 by the time I pay international shipping to get to me. This set up cost me less than $100 thanks to some spare board lying around, a few bolts and some cheap aluminum levels from a chinese outlet.
The tow hook holes are perfect for mounting as they are centered on the car. The whole thing is very stable and easy to adjust.

People have traditionally used parrallel string lines not attached to the car but the problem with those is that the minute you move the strings or the car, you have to remeasure. Finding a way to attach the strings to the car means you can roll the car around to settle suspension after making changes and not affect the relationship of the parrallel lines to your centreline or hubs.
Smart Strings is a popular commercial solution.

This is just a home made idea to achieve the same thing
