*I run in the same SCCA region as PDX_Racer...but I'm in BSP.
1st event: 2nd in BSP (I was 0.1s behind 1st, and had a cone on my best run…so while I didn’t get first, I was very excited that I appeared to be competitive; I started autoXing last year in a smaller autoX club…this year I’ve bumped up to SCCA and was assuming that I’d be left in the dust!)

2nd event: There was snow on the roads to the event…I tried making the drive, but ended up making a short off road excursion that cracked my front bumper and some other plastic pieces – luckily nothing major…now just waiting for the 3rd event!

3rd event: 1st place! (this past weekend) - I was sooo excited...just hope I can repeat for this coming weekend's #4 event. I was #12 in PAX - I'm very very happy with this...way too many fast driver's in our region.

*the car has been feeling great - last yr I was running on 275 Hankooks, this yr I'm on Hoosier 295/315's and have also added a Cusco LSD and a more autoX aggressive alignment...I love how it feels! (now I just need to update the driver
)

That's really good to win in SM2. Here the class is dominated by Miatas, FD RX7's and monster Vettes

I forgot about this thread.
Two weeks after the Atlanta Tour. Not feeling it for regional events right now. I was happy to stay ahead of Jason again but he is getting faster all the time.
I'm planning to attend the Gainesville SE Div event on 6/28-29. We need to visit our parents in N. Fla. and that's as good an excuse as any for the drive.
Hankooks weren't up to the course in Birmingham (gravel or my son?) and almost corded the fronts. They're about as bad as Hoosiers for wear.
Kumhos wore so pretty at Atlanta. Smooth and even across the tire. If it wasn't for heat cycles they would last past Nationals.
Thinking about a road trip in July to Milwaukee for their Tour. With Chris Harvey and other good drivers on about the same surface as Topeka, I can get a preview of my year at Nationals. Is anyone else going?

My 1st season in autocross is going great! Right now I am leading in our street tire class having earned 1st in 3 of the last 4 events. If I can keep it up for the next few couple of events I'll have the season locked up.
I wish I would have started participating in autocross years ago!

well, I figured I would chime in since I just did my first autox event with first350 who rode shotgun with me. Found out my car is fast, but I am not. Was still able to take 1st place in novice, but that ain't saying much. Decided I need to get that BBK I have been eyeing (project mu 4pot) and rear pads, rotors, lines. Also need some coilovers, not just springs. I think the whole run, I was sideways, trying to correct it. Figured out I need to road race, not try to drag race, and I got my times down a bit. This is a lot harder than what I'm use to (drag racing, street racing, just driving fast). I think I will try to go out to another one, but I won't be driving 3 hours to get there again. That sucked.

SlowZster - 1st place in Novice (1st time autoXing...and there was a handful of other novices who had a few autoX's under their belt)
PDX_Racer - 1st in S1 (index of BS, CS, ES)
First350 - 1st in NS1 (index of ASP, BSP, ESP)

I had a tough time in Tire, as opposed to Open with the Z.

My closest competitors are a couple of miatas. One of them bested me two events ago but I came back this last weekend and beat his best time by over a second (our indexes are virtually the same).
I'd like to think I know what I'm doing but I don't believe that to be the case. I think the best drivers out there just happen to race in the regular stock classes.

I know you had to meet John with a bright yellowish green 260Z as he is local to you as well.
Give us a heads up if you do an event here.

Cabriniman, why did you run in BSP when your wife was legal for BSL?
I ran against Sparks (RX-8) again on Saturday and he is still a second ahead but not the two seconds he was getting earlier this year. I had him in 3 but he got me on the 4th run.

That's what I figured. You basically had no BSP competition.
BSP times should be significantly faster than BS times.
Your 94.688 is well behind the winning BS time of 88.964

I'm thinking about getting a new set of rims and R compound tires for next season. I would love to try my chances against the RX8s that generally dominate B stock in my region.
