NISMO Bodywork approved by Grand Am for Koni Challenge
Grand Am has approved the NISMO bodywork for Koni Challenge competition. We've made the front nose, rear bumper out of carbon fiber/Kevlar. The side skirts are Kevlar and the rear wing is fiberglass.
Nissan Motorsports will be selling the kit to racers, time attack and drift competitors. If anyone's interested in contact info, PM me and I can get you in touch with the right person. We can't sell direct. Only through Nissan Motorsports.
I'll get some photos posted of our car with the bodywork on it next week.

The plan is to be there. We've extended a seat to one of the editors of Car and Driver Magazine, so hopefully we'll have them there with us. We'll see. Right now, we're shooting for Watkins Glen, Barber, Iowa, Salt Lake City, and VIR. we're skipping New Jersey and the Canadian races.

Doesn't happen to be Tony Swan from Car and Driver, is it?
I will be at VIR in Oct with the Redline time attack running in Modified RWD, or else I would be offering to volunteer.

MC, I'm looking forward to seeing you guys there.
Just last weekend we found that our cams were installed so poorly that we only had 1 out of 4 cams within 6 degrees of where they should be. The intake cams were over 10 degrees off. The left side of the motor was fighting the right side. We just moved the cams with the help of Rebello who came out and adjusted the cams for us. Now we're within a degree or two.
Net-net, I'm more confident than I've ever been that we'll have a car that can run!

Really dumb off-topic question, are these Grand Am races that you run in televised on Speed a week or so later? I really only follow F1 and the 24 Heures du Mans but I'd follow the series just to see the 350Z competing.
I checked out your nohotwireracing site but I don't believe I saw "next race" anywhere.
Best of luck!

My DVR caught the 2nd race of the Koni season and I was disappointed that there wasn't a Z racing in Koni this year. I saw that Constantine was now in a Mazda and BMW (Playboy), in the events that I saw. Is anyone in a Z this season? Or might you be the only one once all of the hoops and red tape is jumped through.
