Who drives their car to the track???
I've driven mine to 4 events so far. 2 of them were in socal (driving from Sacramento). The only "preventive" stuff I've done is good oils/fluids and the car never has a hiccup.
Another event coming up on the 13th, 488 miles away, great.
Looks like another 1,000 miles in one weekend.

I just bought a truck with the intent of eventually trailering my car (now i need to get out of this apartment into a real house). Until then it's street tires because my fav track is a 3 hour drive and would distroy r-compunds and the heat is to unbearable in Texas to swap tires at the end of a long day. I've got room for tools and some spare parts in the G and it sounds like I should serously consider an extra set of lug screws hearing all you peeps snap them.
I've always driven to the track, its part of the fun.. you get a bunch of friends together and drive out there.
Being partners in an Aluminum trailer company, I've always had the option.. But then again, my car isnt as reliable as it used to be
I've built a few of the open trailers with the cabin( for people on these forums actually), and eventually I will build one for me, totally enclosed kind of limits your tow vehicle..http://www.low-tow.com/photos.php
I'm surprised noone has mentioned AAA gold either..
