Good luck all! I wish I could be there (we close on the 18th).
I've got to stop being a wuss and use the throttle earlier in the turns. The last two years I've shown up and punked out. This year I'm running 1st co-driving Jason's Z and warming tires so he'll be able to get the most out of his runs. Since I like cooler Kumho tires our arrangement is good for both of us.
I agree, this is gonna give us both a fighting chance.
Now, if only Ike would go away. He's scheduled to hit about the same time I was planning on leaving for KS, so it may mess with my schedule a bit. (Mike, I will keep you posted if anything changes obviously)

got into Topeka around 3pm today (I had planned to get here on Monday, but I made really good time - aka, I drove 24 hrs straight from Fri 8pm to Sat 8pm...)
*driving at night really builds up the # of bugs on the front bumper...I washed the Z and must have lightened it by 1 lb!
My paddock spot is behind (west) the garages (section O). I'll wonder around tomorrow and try to find some of you Z guys.

Glad to hear you got there OK, although 24 hours of driving is killer! (I barely was able to make the 18 hour drive from Ogden to Topeka back in 2005)
Good luck to you all! I wish I was there, but I need to be here to sign paperwork Monday or Tuesday, so we can get the keys on Thursday or Friday.

I talked with Peter today. He was getting ready to tech. Later I happened to talk with Brian Flannagan from Chattanooga. He's co-driving with Peter. People familiar with autocross in the SE will know Brian as a real fast driver. Could be a good showing for Nissan in BSP.
Peter is 7th of 14 and Brian is 11th in BSP.
I'm 15th, Jason is 22nd, Claudio is 29th and Chris 35th out of 35 in BS.
We ran the West course today which was mainly sweepers. Tomorrow the East course is a slalom nightmare. A Stock killed so many cones on the East course today that there were rumors that a war crimes trial was being considered.
A former Z driver, Carter Thompson is leading Jason Isley by .2. This just might be his year.

I still ended up 15th but Jason improved to 14th, .001 seconds ahead of me. He drives slaloms better than I.
The other 2 Z drivers improved also.
Claudio is 21st and Chris is 29th of 35.
Jason Isley won again and Carter coned his last run and ended up 5th.
