But what the heck, he can drive!
Be fair, have you have met Jason face to face? He is a very nice quiet guy.
Peter trophied with 5th place in BSP. That car is fast and sticks. I would like to have a decent diff like he does.

.B stock is an incredibly hard class to run in - IIRC the top 17 drivers had less than 1s between them after day 1...you gotta be a top notch driver AND nail both courses to trophy.
I couldn't be happier today - I came in 0.7s out of trophies, and was able to pull off some decent times to grab the last trophy!
recap:
Monday (East course): slalom intensive...
1st run: quick enough to trophy, but dirty
2nd run: slowed it down to ensure a clean run, 1s slower than my first run (I hate going into my 3rd run w/ the previous 2 being dirty...so I wanted an insurance run)
3rd run: dirty (gave up after I saw the cone I knocked over)
Tues (West course): one of the most fun courses I've run
- speed, sweepers, hard corners,...I had a HUGE grim on my face after the 1st run: decent time
2nd run: faster, but still left a good amount out there
3rd run: dirty.
In all, I'm disappointed that I didn't perform to what I knew I could, but still ecstatic that I trophied and was glad to see what the top BSP cars could do.
Just leasuirely browsing the results and noticed that we have at least three members from our local club who took 1st: SS, STS, DS. Are the current posted results final?
My bad for not checking in on the forums before Topeka.
I'm Chris Deacon who was driving (if you want to call it that) the 2003 350Z in BS.
Wow, what a terrible first National event for me. 5 out of 6 runs coned, only clean run was my slowest run of day 2! ahhhh well, lessons learned and live to fight another year. =)
Really great to see at least one other team of Z drivers there to brake up the Rx-8 show however.
First350, watched a few of your runs as well, car looked really good. Not sure where you were parked though.

I"d be interested to see the MaxQ data too...I've been thinking of picking up a system like that. (I currently use video to try to analyze my runs...I'm hoping to get something that's a bit quicker so that I can use it between runs)
You can have a clean run scored even if you hit every cone but they don't end up outside of the box when each one stops moving.
I'm finding (with AXAnalyst) that runs where you are well below the limits of the car can be relatively quick, but the data shows a car in complete control. I think that the quote from (IIRC) Bruce McLaren may be very relevant, "If you're in control, you're going too slow."
