Had a blast! i never knew how many race fans of the le mans series there really was.
It was was packed not a spot open on any part of the track and there we didnt find a parking spot until we got to the other side of the track on the infield...

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. I haven't been to Road Atlanta since the Can-Am race in 1972. Maybe it's time to go back.

 

Awesome pics bro! This was my first ALMS race that I've been to in person, and I can't wait to go back next year.

 

Ugh, I really wanted to road trip it this year, just didn't have the extra cash. Nice pics!

thanks guys. i just got my 03 z today!!! i love it. yeah you would that was my first race as well. ive been wanting to go for the last few seasons and i finally got a chance.

 

Amazing photography. I could use your skills...damn those are nice shots. Petit Lemans is always a blast. I went last year, and watching Prototype cars lapping Road Atlanta about 25 SECONDS faster than I can lap in my 350Z, is just breathtaking. They basically just lift for turn 1...NUTS, and they are flat down the hill, and through Turn 12!! Yikes!

 

ha thanks man. yeah i love it. they come out of the sikane and the gt2 are like helpless against the lmp1s and they are gone.

I've been in Atlanta for a couple of years and have never made it up for the race and it kills me. I can't get any of my buddies who are into NASCAB into going up for the day. I think next year I am just going to say 'f' it and go by myself (insert loser/no friend jokes).

Like Sharif said, it is crazy seeing those cars go flat through most of the corners! I watched the TV coverage for the couple of hours it was on and can't imagine what it would be like in person.
