yeah i noticed that. I auto-xd for 5 years using my friends shoei helmet that was a motorcycle helmet.
If it can withstand an impact to the ground it should be fine in the car.
Anways any other recommendations?

that is perfect, where did you find it for 229 this place lists it for 299.
And in all honesty what is the difference? I know motorcycle helmets are one hit wonders but didnt think that safety would be that much different
Does it have to be closed face? And does it have to be FLAT black?
Here are two options from G-force and Pyrotect for under $200 that are SA rated. FWIW... in addition to the multi-impact protection, the linings are also fire resistant.

You don't have to spend a fortune, but at least use the right type of equipment. Cheaper helmets tend to use lower quality padding, don't usually fit that well and weigh a lot more. They are comfortable at first, but fade quickly. Not to mention the strain the added weight puts on your neck.
Furthermore, let's face it..crashes happen. If they didn't, we wouldn't need helmets. You would not believe how your head gets thrown around if you have an impact at 80 mph. Even at speeds lower than that, it can be harder than you think. While you may never use it, it is the time when you need it that you wished you had the best one available.
I saw this very thing happen at an autocross. 45-50 mph crash and his helmet did almost nothing for him. Tramatic brain injury that really hit home.
Look, the guys here are trying to impress upon you the one thing most all people know and they just don't want to see you get hurt or pull a dumb move to save a couple bucks. We have seen crashes at both high and low speeds, as well as the results. They really are looking out for your safety.
