...and suspension, and pretty much everything else. They're never satisfied with the car as delivered, but it "escaped" from the factory before they were done tweaking it.

Lotus is pretty well-known for this. The first Elise into the US didn't have a LSD (nor was it officially planned), but then one was added mid-year, and then you could order the parts to add it to your early-delivery Elise. That's not something that too many car companies do.

That being said, I'm still not sold on the 370Z being a BS car, but then again ULLLOSE has more experience with the 370Z than most of us.

Liam, looking forward to running against you and Keith at the Finger Lakes NT. You said Keith has a fully-prepped "RS"??? I know he drives an RX-8. Does he have the new R3 model?
The z you have to drive in a similar manner. After driving it many times on street tires then switching to R comps, the R comps make a huge difference. Even running much bigger tires, it rotates a lot better.

I just found out I got into DC also, so I'll be there too. Its gonna be good to run against you again.
Keith's car is a brand new RX8, catback and Motons to go along with the bigger Hoosiers, I don't know if he put a bar on it. I'd have to double check with him about model. I know his new car doesn't have the sunroof; I'd have to double check if its the R3 but I'm pretty sure it is. Sorry mistyped RS there.

True - looking at the data afterwards, a downshift to 1st was definitely possible. Strano is definitely at a level of driving above 99.99% of people in this sport.

The 370Z in those pics only had a big FSB and hoosiers. It definitely showed minimal roll through turns/sweepers.

Cool. I'll guess we'll get to hang out two weekends in a row then! Easy way to tell if he has an R3 is if his Hoosiers are 19". The R3 is the only RX-8 that comes with 19" wheels from the factory. All other models came standard with 18" rims.
