Default My first ever WET autocross and first ever overal PAX win

hey guys,

This past Sunday I finished 1st in STX class and 1st overall in PAX @ Hutchinson Island under Buccaneer region. It was my first ever wet race in SCCA Solo, on this special day I scored my first ever overall win in PAX.

The day before the race, I took the competition class from SoloPro Driving School, hosted by Tim Aro, Jonathan Roberts, and Eric Peterson. I want to thanks these guys for putting out such a great class, and I want to give full credit to them for my maiden overall victory.

Here are some onboard videos of this past Sunday:

nice driving! Never done an autox in the rain yet.....

Halfway through the vid I thought to myself......what if the splash of water knocks the cone over and not the car? How would they tell?

thanks guys
You know I've never thought about that, but the cone is pretty hefty, so I doubt water splash would push it over.

I wouldn't bet on it. Water is pretty heavy and isn't very compressible, so what it hits it knocks over.

(Personal experience working a corner with a "river" after a downpour).

On another note, congrats!

Nice driving. I autox'd in the wet and it is scary with the Z because the back end comes out really easy. I usually drive like a grandma in the wet because I've seen two guys spin out and hit water barriers on a wet autox course.
