Odd/Fluke Occurrence?
Long post, just trying to fit in as much detail as possible.
Info;
2003 Greddy TT G35 Coupe; OEM Fuel System except for modified Walboro as per Greddy Instructions.
Car has never had an issue and has been rock solid through many lapping (HPDE) events.
Yesterday I was lapping - chasing down an m3 race car
My fuel was low, I was aware of this.
I take a 90degree right hander, the car stumbles. I smell gas, I pump the gas peddle, car eventually dies and I roll it off into the grass.
Get out of the car, I see a trail of gas on the track...I smell gas too.
Popped the hood, the smell was not from the engine bay, I checked under the car, its coming from the passenger side.
Towed the car off the track and lift the passenger side to see where the leak is coming from. Not leaking while car is off.
Turn the key to "ON" to prime the fuel pump, fuel pump turns on and gas comes gushing out.
I realized it was coming from the top of the tank.
I pulled out out the back seat, lifted the fuel pump cover and was shocked to see the fuel line had separated from the fuel pump.
The quick connecter came off as shown here.

Now; I find this really strange, the clips weren't broken, I was able to clip it back together, put some gas in the car and be on my way. I zip tied everything just to make sure I could get home and didn't have any other issues.
Could a spike in pressure have caused this? Is it a fail-safe of some sort? Maybe it wasn't completely secure from the 1.5 years ago when the TT install was done? Anyone else ever have this happen?
I don't have any fuel pressure gauges, or even an aftermarket regulator...I just don't understand what caused it.
Thoughts?

Any chance you monitor fuel and/or boost pressure? If you had a boost spike, that would require an increase in fuel pressure as well. I believe it is ~1psi of P(f) increase for each psi of P(b) that you are running.
Unfortunately I turned the car off before looking at my afr/boost guages so I didn't look at the peaks.
The hose clicked back on as it normally would, I dont understand what caused it to un-clip in the first last unless it was never fully secured or clipped.
The other thing is the piece of insulated tubing over the hard line easily moves up and down the line an inch back and forth, not sure if that matters.
