Gotcha, I miss-understood you previously. But good point about the Miata, with enough grip and Hp's a Miata can out run anything. Jk

It's all good

I just hope the Genesis adds another great auto-x car to the mix, doesn't eat tires too quickly, and doesn't utterly dominate GS, spec auto-x classes get boring, this isn't road racing

Notiably, I think the Genesis had Stoptechs and the DD 370z didn't, vice versa on the exhausts. (Same Genesis pictured above).
The G Stock Genesis (the one all of the autocrossers are talking about) is the turbo 4-cylinder.

If I recall correctly, the V6 Genesis is in F Stock.

I think the little four might be a little underpowered in stock trim. I think this car needs a little mod'ing before its useful potential is reached. But like the OP said if a establish driver has found it fast enough to switch there has to be something to it.

BTW - the Camber Bolt kit got shot down for the Stock class in the Fastrack released today...

Stock: per the SAC, the “trunk kit” alignment bolts for the Hyundai Genesis R-spec are not legal for use in the Stock category, as they do not meet the requirements of 13.0. The submitted letter states that the part is for “off-highway use”, which does not comply with section 3.8.A of the Solo rules, requiring that all manufacturer’s documentation must be for non-competition purposes. Documentation for non-competition use from the factory service manual or a service bulletin would be required in order to make the part legal for use in the Stock category as a standard part. (ref. 09-716)

Since they shot down the bolts, I think my prediction will be spot on! So hopefully there will be a handful of cars that can get it done in GS!

I think you're right, though I'm interested to see how the R-Spec does in STX.

If it's classed in STX, I think it will match up well against an RX8. That is after somebody gets some quality struts and coilovers, camber plates, and a tune with premium gas to get some power out of it!
