Default wheel/tire setup for autocross

Okay, so I'm looking for a set of wheels/tires to use when I auto-x and go to track days. I've pretty much got my mind set on Kumho Ecsta XS tires, and I'm trying to find wheels that will work with them. I'd like to get a set of 17's or maybe 18's. But I'm not sure what width wheel to get or what size tire to get. Any suggestions or good experiences with your setup?

What class are you going to run in? Stock classes require you to stick with your OEM sized wheels. Street Tire class has limits on tire sizes.

What you run on an autocross may not be the best thing for the track and vice-versa.

Start browsing this forum (https://my350z.com/forum/autocross-road-305/) as it's all about autocross and track.

Agreed. If you are autocrossing just for fun, then the world is your oyster, but if it's for competition and classing, read up and decide which you want to enter.

I have a set of wheels for both, but most opt to have just one set. If it were me, I'd daily drive on aggressive street tires that I'd autox, like RE01Rs or RE11s, then have a dedicated set of track wheels with RA1, R888, etc., tires.

17" wheels and tires are cheaper, so some opt for that route. If you are wheel shopping, I have an extra set of 18x9" wheels if you're interested. PM me if so.
