Default Temp gauge

I have an '04 and the temp gauge isn't marked in degrees. Does anyone know what temperature the hash mark at the top of the sweep (the second mark just below the H) corresponds to? Also, what temp is the top hash mark (the mark just below the H)?

I think that later Zs have temp gauges marked in degrees. Can that gauge be fitted to the pod that now contains my old gauge or to the pod that contains computer read-outs for trip computer/timer?

Here is a photo of the gauge:

The top hash mark in the range is "****ing Hot."

Yes, I pretty much guessed all that. But, I'd really like to know the corresponding temps, as well as whether I can fit a later Z gauge with temp markings to one of the existing pods on the dash.

Most people serious about knowing the exact temps install a second gauge and sensor. Don't rely on the stock gauge, it seems to always run about 15mins behind schedule like the italian subway system.

Agreed. That's why I asked about installing a later OE gauge with the degrees actually marked (I think there is such a thing, anyway). Now, does anyone have any constuctive information to offer rather than just sniping at me?
