I daily drive my 06 but also do AutoX/Time Trials. The stock 06 non brembo brakes are fine for AutoX (06 brakes are bigger than previous models). However if I could get more braking in the higher speed applications like time trials that wold be good. Time trials usually get close to 90-100 mph before braking hard for tight corner.

People have told me about Hawk HPS. I have also read several negatives. Would this be an upgrade over stock or really about the same. I don't mind paying for stock pads again and again but if I can get a little improvement it would be good.

Again these pads will be daily driven and AutoX more than time trial. I am not interested in switching out pads before events.

Let me know from anyone who has experience with the larger 06 brakes. Also I am doing all of this in a heavy roadster running Star Specs at the events.
