Don't know, but since I got it since its class legal. I can say that freeway 80+ i can feel a slight difference in stability. Looking at its design i would expect it to add slight downforce and stability over the original lip spoiler. No way to really know, but i expect it was built by NISMO for a slight improvement just like the V2 and V3 wings were designed.

That's my guess as well, Nismo generally does their homework. I was considering a V2 but the "Box" rule looks a little subjective to that wing. It doesn't specify what needs to fit in the box, the effective element or the are the going to count some of the mounting surface as well. I'm still working on the 3.5" rule as well...

Not sure if either the box rule or the 3.5" rule will exist next year seeing that Speedventures will probably simplify things.

If you are in the street class and go with a wing, can always go with a decent one that you know will produce downforce...if you don't mind the aftermarket wing "stigma".

I believe the Enthusiast class is particular to the wing having been offered from the factory based on the following, "OEM upgraded body components may be installed on the same model vehicle as they were offered on. For example a Nissan 370Z may install the 370Z Nismo front and rear bumper covers. Only those factory OEM parts may be used in an unmodified form." This was one of the reasons I bought the Nismo version since the aero work came from the factory.

I can attest to the fact there is a difference with the NISMO wing.
148MPH on the Roval in Fontana and the car was VERY heavy in the rear.
Made me start to wonder how much the front was lifting now.
That's when I decided to get the splitter and make a few aero changes.

Last on the roval for me i had the Stillen Splitter and the back was very light. Hoping the Nismo wing will cure that.

I never get up to those kinds of speeds on my our road courses, 125mph MAX so far, I just don't have the power and/or the tracks don't have the length.
BTW, did you guys pay ~$700 for the NISMO wing?!!?

Fontana Nissan and others have them for around $300. Real NISMO versions.

I was running 128 up the second straight on SMMR with it, then i wish i had it at the Willow Springs event cause the back straight in well into the tripple digits.

The ROVAL is the only place I know of that is long enough to get that high. You could almost do it at LVMS.
But, they stopped renting the track out for HPDE events once NASCAR put in the SAFER walls.

I got mine online in 2003. It was $425.00. Haven't tracked with the splitter and NISMO sides yet.
Hope they make a difference too...

Yeah the back straight complex at Willow is a little hairy... super simple corners but the speeds take the bass out of your voice for a second or two.

The V1 is really light, I was surprised.
