Looking for crew in Northern Virginia
SCCA National Champion if looking for a Nissan knowledgable crew guy in Northern Virginia. We will be running a 2007 350Z in Touring 3 in the Northeast Division and the VIR races in April. Present plans are to run VIR, Watkins Glen, Beavery Run, New Jersey Motorsports Park, Summit Point, Nelson Ledges and the SCCA Runoffs at Road America. Car is located in Arlington, Va and while the garage is small its also heated. Our tow rig is a diesel Ford crew cab and a 28' enclosed trailer. We may also run a NASA race or three if there are no conflicts and as the schedule permits.
As the crew guy you need to be very familar with most mechanical aspects of a 350Z. The touring class has very limiting rules so most of our work has to do with freshing the car before each race, checking alignments, adjusting tire pressures and shocks. This car will be very competitive in 2011. We will work on the car starting in January and hope to do some dyno time before the first race to see of some ideas we have will give us more horsepower. The car is already prepared and ran some races last year.
If you are interested and live in the area of Northern Virginia contact

SCCA took off 75#'s from the 350Z and added a little weight to the class leading Honda S2000 so we are closer to even. There is a little more we can do to our car and that may also help. If we had just one more concession I think we have a winner. Working on that part.
We ran Goodyear tires last year which is their first year back making DOT tires and I am sure there will be some improvement there as well. Rob has raced on every track we have on our schedule so there won't be any suprises. Having a crew guy will also take some of the prep work off of Rob and that will keep him more rested and hopefully faster.

I wouldn't mind wrenching for you. I race AutoX with the BMW NCCA group. I took 2nd place last year in the X2 class. I would be stoked to be apart of the team!! I live in VA and I have a garage as well.
