Where's the race alignment, it should be right next to tires? C'mon you're losing your touch.

They can. Remember that track width is one of the factors in calculating lateral weight transfer.

Oh i know about track width, that's why I install aggressive offset wheels.

Thanks for all your responses... SEAT TIME has being a lot on this track (5 years in a row), I can say now that if I can take another half second off my actual time with this 350z is because I had wind pushing me forward!... Tires are out of the question since we are trying to stick to 100% street tires with no less than a 180 treadwear and stock rims... So with this said, what do we have left? Pads and Fluid are in the car already...

Maybe it looks like a silly post, but already someone said is becoming interesting, since many people may think one upgrade is better than the other and at last we know all of them together are best, but if you can`t get them all at the same time... were do you start from!!?...

What the heck kind of racing series limits you to 180 tread wear....140 is the standard cutoff for street tires. Also, one 140 tread wear tire is not equal to another. What tires are you using now?

I am actually using 6' spacers. The car is actually slower but no one can pass me.

+1

Plenty of good, sticky tires, with your desired tread wear.

I guess it begs the question

why are you trying to race a car on tires with 180 treadwear? on what size wheels?

can you improve things? sure

where to start - awfully impossible for anyone here without you providing empirical data

start with measuring your tire temps after a series of laps, that will tell you how much of your tire is actually hitting the ground. From there, you adjust tire pressures, alignment, swaybar settings, spring rates to suit. Brakes become the other (and IMHO more important) part of the equation. But again, the biggest factor in brake performance are your tires and the weight of the car in the first place.

Assuming this 180 TWR is a requirement, you'd be short changing yourself if you are running any tire besides the Dunlop Star Specs, which are a 200 TWR.
