Default NASA Event at Mid-Ohio July 15-17

I know a few my350z members will be attending this event (myself, Sig11, Fixxercask). Just wondering if anybody else is planning on attending since Nationals will be at Mid-Ohio in September.

I think a few people from the Mid-a (not 350z's) are heading up for some practice prior to NC. Have fun....

Dude I remember last year AND beginning of this year you said you would come out to a Mid-ohio event You should come out cuz you promised hehe

And it costs $350 for Sat/Sun plus a $40 membership fee, but if it's your first time then you can get your membership fee back after your first HPDE. Each day you get four 20 min sessions, including a personal instructor and class room sessions after each time you're out on the track. It's a bit higher than other clubs, but they're super professional and organized which is worth the $$. Plus you get to see the most badass amateur racers and race cars out there

Yeah I have a NASA membership, and $350 isn't bad at all. When they come to Putnam Park over here by Indy they charge close to like $500 for a 2 day event. I wish I could make it...

I signed up to do the National Street Tire Challenge deal in D.C.......on the 16th. If I can breed a clone in time....I might make both.

If I didn't have Job related stuff to do already I would want to be there. It looks like there will be close to 20 FFR guys there when it's all said and done.

yeah I'm always amazed at the type of showing you get a big track like Mid-O compared to other local tracks. There were only about 5 FFR guys at the last Great Lakes NASA event, but 20, wow that'll be fun to watch!

And what amazes me the most (and I'm sure everybody else) are those crazy built vipers

Mid-Ohio, VIR, Road Atlanta and the like are considered destination tracks so I think you will always see bigger turnouts.

The spec, open and time trial classes will probably have big turnouts. This is one of the last opportunities for testing/racing before the NASA championships (at Mid-O). There will be some great racing happening up there....no doubt about it.

That's awfully nice of ya! I really really wish I could go now that there's going to be some other Z's out there, but I pulled the Z out of the garage today and found a nice puddle of oil coming from the oil feed line going to the passenger side turbo

You know I'll be there Rob. Just checked the entry list; there are 53 cars in the TT field. That is the most I've seen. I think we had about 40 in April. There are 10 cars in TTB which is super for me and my Hoosier contingency.

I'm registered for Sat/Sun, but I'll be driving up Friday to drop the car off and all that stuff. Currently having ABS issues with the car. Should be fixed tonight once I pull my a$$ off the couch.

Good stuff Dominic, I'll txt you if we get there early enough on Friday to see if you wanna grab dinner.

It might be hard, but if you can save 3 spots next to you in the paddock that'd be awesome, but I doubt it since it'll be so packed.

I think I could. I was actually going to pick up some cones for just that reason. You'll see my car along with a Silver C5 Z06 that's in TTA. We will have a canopy setup too. I'd love to grab dinner if you get there early enough. I'll probably hang out anyway for awhile once I get there and check out everything. Look forward to seeing you guys.

I'm so disappointed I'm going to miss this. I fell last Saturday and put a gouge in my left leg just below the knee. 6 stitches and it hurts to walk let alone push the clutch.

I can't seem to get ahold of anyone at NASA to see if I can sell my spot. I may come down and try anyway and just hope I don't rip out the stitches. :P

^damn dude that sucks, If you need any help driving let me know lol
I seem to get stitches on a very regular basis normally after 5 or so days the skin will have repaired itself to a point where the wound wont fully open.

I'm supposed to have them removed Sunday so I'll try to figure out if it's going to continue to hurt to drive Friday and maybe put off the removal until Monday. Fingers are crossed...
