Front Toe
I purchased a set of toe alignment plates from ART. http://www.advancedracing.com/toe_plates.php (Click on the picture and the two plates come into view.)
They work. No complaints and my accuracy is equal to cost. My only problem is they give me total toe. For the life of me, I cannot think of a way to use these to tell me individual wheel toe angles. There has got to be a way I can do that...I just can't think of it.
I could use some suggestions!

String out your cars center line and put one of the plates on that? Might be able to come up with a jig that sits on the center line with reflectors in the right places.

Looks complicated. We use two aluminum plates and two tape meausres that Longacre sells. Cheap easy way to get accuate toe. We set up at 3/16" front toe and that works well for racing.
you can triangulate it.
I measure off of the front crossmember. setup you cross toe first. then measure from each plate to the cross member on ech side.
you have to be very careful about makig sure your toe plates are int eh same spot.
Another option, is to use a piece of string and tie a small loop in it. pullit accross the bottom of the car and measure to find your center point for it.
Then you can use the loop to hold the dumb end of the tape measure, make measuring a little easier and consistent.
I don't mind doing my fronts, but I hate doing the rears, the multilink just kicks me in the ... I always take it somewhere to have the rear aligned. I'll verify it with the long acre, but no way and I trying to do that alignment laying on my back, just not enuff beer in the fridge.
