I just tried that airbag reset procedure about ten times too and it didn't fix it.
What about just removing the whole airbag "brain" completely. Now that my interior is gone, I can get to it easily. It's right behind the e-brake. I wonder if I can just un-plug it and be done with it.
Thoughts?

Try having your mom walk into the garage with you sitting in your car with a motorcycle helmet on at like 1am saying "WTF ARE YOU DOING?!?!" lol good timessss
As for just removing the airbag "brain" im pretty sure that wont fix your light issues. If it bothers you THAT much why dont you just take out the bulb?? Seems like just for a track car its pretty pointless to go through this whole resistor mod crap...

You're right. It's just a race car. It doesn't bother me much, I just wanted to know if there was an easy fix for it. When the cage goes in this winter, the airbags and the rest of the dash is all coming out anyway. We'll see what happens then.
Open the cluster and put a piece of tape over the light

I had issues with my washer fluid light too. It was really annoying during cornering. I removed the washer bottle and the sensor and no more light. The airbag is my next enemy. I might just not worry about it. We'll see.
open the cluster and crush the led to make the light not come on... codes will store just no light

the SRS control module, I removed mine. due to the SRS light coming on due to a lack of CANBUS comminication to the module, a small piece of back tape does do the trick to make this light go out.
The AAC (the white box behind the A/C controls) is also connected to the can bus. The immediate thing you will see when you remove that is the fuel level sensor stops working, also the TPMS system runs through that. There is a host of other things that use that module. I removed about 60% of those systems so far, the only major things left are the fuel level and the trip computer. I just relocted mine. find me on facebook and look at my pics there. http://www.facebook.com/bryan.settle

About the AAC; I do not have TPMS and I do not care about the trip odometer. I do however need to know fuel. When I remove it, the defroster comes on full blast too. How do I make that stop? Just remove all the blower fans and what not?
Thanks again.
I will check out your pics on FB.
Thanks for the info. When you removed the SRS control module, did the airbag light remain on?

1. you can reach the motor connector from the passenger side floor board (i think, it has been a while since i had a dash) and unplug it
2. same area, but put a high amperage (30A) switch on the common (0VDC) wire to interupt the ground
3. pull the fuse
4. pull the whole shooting match.
flashing airbag light means there was a problem that set a code... seat out when key on or radio out with key on... then everything plugged back in makes for a flashing light... if it is on solid... then there is a problem with something... disconnected or actually bad component... replacing the steering wheel will make for a solid airbag light (drivers airbag module open)...
open the cluster and crush the led to make the light not come on... codes will store just no light

I don't have the resistors in yet after installing harnesses. I removed the actual seat belt "holder" on the seat as well as the seat belt assembly, so I'm curious as well as to what the resistances are...that or I could simply measure it when I don't feel so lazy
I also hate airbags, so I want to swap my steering wheel asap...just $700 for a new assembly is kinda wow, lol.
