Gentlemens GT Series - Race#3
Event from Calabogie Motorsports on August 11th.
Coles for those who don't want to watch the whole race.
Qualified 9th, dropped to 11th, track started to dry and I worked my way up to 7th (I think)
You can see Fritz (Lotus) is squirley all through the quarry in the start
10:50 - I let CMP Mustang Pass - Battle Begins
13:55 - CMP Mustang steps off in Quarry
Track is drying up, I finally get some legs
15:40 - Pass CMP Mustang
18:35 - You'll see Fritz off to the left of 9a - shitty deal.
23:00 - Finally catch up to some cars - time for battle.
23:25 - Pass CMP Mustang
24:45 - Nice little 14 exit drift - pushing to catch CMP Mustang and Geoff (Red BMW)
25:55 - Catch up to the Geoff and his 3-way action
26:55-27:10 - Geoff and I pass black Mustang
29:00 - Getting the point from Geoff (Great Battle)
29:20 - CMP mustang and Erwan (Black GTI) are in sight
Do I have enough time or gas (gas light has been on for a while - I need to coast) to catch them?
31:16 - I try 5th Gear down 9a-9b because staying in 4th Im banging off the rev limiter at the end.
I don't like 5th, coming down to 4th sucks because 2nd gear is beside it - think 5th-2nd (lol)
31:50 - Pushing in the chase a longer drift out of 14 this time - sideways is slow though.
Kept 6th and 5th place in sight the whole time, didn't quite get there, I was concerned about gas, shoulda put it out of my mind.

Not sure if I understand this "race". Is this a Canadian series where you're on track without roll cages, fire systems/suits or other protective equipment? Or is it more like a track day, or HPDE with all cars on the track together?
Looks like a cool track, although there's not much runoff room in some spots...

Its more like.... aggressive lapping or HPDE, we still use point by passing only; but everyone has experience as well.
