oh really? yeah ive heard a few people say they run RS3 down to the cords but I didnt know if I wanted to believe it lol. How much life is on your RS3 since the last time you were on the track?

I've put less than 20 miles on my car since I got it home from the last track day , still rebuilding after the crash. I also don't run the same tires on the street , RS3 is on a track only wheelset. I will run my track tires down bald before I replace them and 3/32 is plenty for one day.
Street tires seem to wear better once the tread is low , a lot less tread squirm to cause the tread to wear faster.

Many of the DOT R tires are at there best with less than 3/32 on the tires. Toyo RA1s are the perfect example of this. As long as they haven't heat cycled out the are prime right before they cord. This is also why many of us don't use the on the street. A bald tire sucks in the rain no matter who makes it.
