I would love to attend! 87 dB at what distance? I am installing a new header on my track prelude and need to test it to make sure I meet your criteria!

LRP does not tell us where they test. My best guess is 50-75 ft from the track. I have seen them test from Pit lane, the hill in the esses, the edge of the spectator fence in West bend, they move alot.

Sound is also temperature sensitive. Should not be as bad in August as the colder months.

Many people bring turn downs or additional baffles with them if concerned.

I can get contact info at the track for you ( PM or Email) if you want to speak to them in more detail

man...I would love to go, but not shelling out the $320 or $340 for one day. That's ridiculous! That's a two day event with most other orgs.

Lime Rock is expensive to rent as it is and rates are higher in the summer.
BTW the host club operates at a break even level at this event.
$300-$345 is a normal 1 day rate for LRP. ( We charge $395 for 2 days at Watkins Glen --less expensive to rent the track)

But you will get great in car and classroom training from instructors who really know how to get around Lime Rock.
