My 350z's race prep and beyond.
Hey everyone! I have a build thread in the Southern California forum but because it's getting pretty serious I thought I would share it here and let my other thread die.
My name is Kyle and my car is an HR powered Base model. It's going to be a limited class time attack car.
Back in it's streetcar days on TE37's
A little later on CCW C2K wheels

That pretty much catches you guys up to where I'm at today. ALL unnecessary sheet metal is coming out of the car. Carbon Roof skin will be going on the car as well as a carbon hatch, one piece with no rear glass. I have some DoLuck front fenders for the car but they are beat to poo, I might pop a mold from them and have them done in carbon. I sold my stoptechs so I need to figure out what I'm doing for brakes. Thinking about running some 17x11's all around but we'll see. I'll be changing it up and going with a square wheel and tire setup for sure though. Car is sitting on JIC Mono's that have been converted to true type rears. 12k front and 8k rear spring rates, Whiteline front bar, no rear bar, SPL monoball bushings everywhere, SPL everything, front a arms, rear camber/ toe/ traction rods.
The car is currently at RobiSpec in Hesperia, CA for the build. I think I'm going to paint the interior gloss white. Since its a limited car it needs to have the dash and center console re-installed after the cage is done. The cage is going to reenforce the damper towers and tie into the four subframe mounting locations. A and B pillars will be gusseted, ect, ect.
I'll post updates as often as I can. Goal is to build the lightest Z out there. Target weight is sub 2600. We'll see how close it comes.

Pre-track build, when it was still a street car what were you running at like buttonwillow and big willow? should be an interesting comparison, car going from 0-100 and seeing how fast lap times drop, etc.

I know! It's been down for so long now it's driving me crazy. I'll give you a call and we'll plan a day when it gets closer to being done. I'm thinking autoclub.
Cage should be done in two weeks or so then I gotta tie up loose ends and figure out brakes, wheels, and tires. I really want to see your front aero in person too. Shoot me a text tomorrow lets talk.
