Roll call for VIR February 14-15th
HA, I dont need a passenger seat to drive the miata! I only drive from the drivers seat
Actually the falkens are really good in the wet weather, at least on public roads, I havent driven them in wet track weather yet, and not sure I'd want to.

Cameron, I could be wrong, but the WC guys runs with RA1s, not T1S'. Street tires won't hold up after 10+ laps at the way they drive... no way...
Some of us call it the deer hunter....It even wheres Camofloge red.
Stupid color-blind wildlife animal....
Looking forward to checking out your new and improved 'ride'. I would offer to let you drive the miata on track, but, it doesn't have a passenger seat. Maybe you can drive it around the skidpad or something. It's like a big go-kart. The guys at Road Atlanta last year were pulling 1.65gs in the turns on the new Hoosiers. That's some serious g. Just goes to show you that a lot of what makes a good track car is its weight. The miata is 2300lbs with driver.
The Flyin Scot forgot to mention that he needs the approval of his crew chief before he lets Nissan enthusiasts check out our MazdaSpeed Motorsport tuned first place finishing 2004 southeast championship contender, 2004 future ARRC winner and the best of what Team Skoa could come out with.

I saw they they are having one of these events in april too? What is the schedule after that? Who hosts them and where are they held in Virginia? I'd like to go when I get my z this summer but I probably won't want to run it, will take a while to get used it cause I drive a slow a$$ civic now :/
Yes, there is an event in April, too.

I'm getting psyched, too! Eric & I put a new set of Carbotech brake pads on my Z this weekend, and we both changed to Ate Super Blue brake fluid. We're good to stop!

I am going to try to come up on Sunday, just to check how things are going.
And it looks like it's going to be dry!
Can't wait. I'm going to the garage to start preping the car right now.

BTW, We are keeping an eye on Thursday's weather.
Is everybody staying at the Ramada? I procrastinated, and have yet to reserve a room anywhere. Anyone want to split a room with a random person from DC (me)? If not, I'll just stay at the Sleep Inn (new, closer to the track, has free network connections in every room).
Damn the luck!!! I'm just now reading this and have been dying to get on VIR (I lived in Martinsville/Danville for a short while). What is needed to race on it the next time a gathering occurs? Just a helmet or need a rollcage as well?
