Default Shocks/Struts

I've got an 07 Enthusiast that I use for track days. It really has no mods other than Carbotech pads and some RS-3s on Enkei wheels. It doubles as my daily driver. It has 70k miles on it.

It seems to me the shocks in the rear might be getting a little soft....might be my imagination. But I'm considering replacing rear shocks and front struts. I do not want to replace springs or lower the car.

Was looking at the Tokico D-spec adjustable shocks which can be adjusted without removal, but they seem to be out of stock everywhere and possibly discontinued. Koni has adjustable shocks but they have to be removed to adjust them.

So, any recommendation for good replacement shocks/struts that might add some handling benefit on track? (They do not have to be adjustable).

Koni or Bilstien are really the only ones available other than OEM replacement like Tokico blue.

Koni yellows. Does this mean you repaired your car?

Yep. Got a rear hatch and a driver door in the same color from a salvage yard. Put them on myself. Then about $1800 in body work and paint.

I sold a couple of guns to help cover the cost.

Salvage pieces were not perfect...but close enough for driving to work and going to the track 5 or 6 times a year.

Now that I'm recovering from that financial hit I'm starting to think about seats, harnesses, roll bar, anti-sway bars, upper a-arms, etc, etc.

It'll be a long time before I get to all that and since I'm thinking about working up to TT this year, maybe.... I'll keep the mods as minimal as possible to stay in the lowest class possible.

Will look into the Koni yellows. Do you mean the FSD's or the adjustable ones?

That is the right approach for TT. Aim to stay in TTC

Struts are inserts and the 350Z does not use them. It has a double wishbone suspension up front and the shock is used only for dampening. Also, the Koni sports (yellow) do NOT have to be removed to be adjusted. The fronts are adjustable from the engine bay and the rears have a small window at the top that allows the rebound setting to be accessed.

I'd recommend Koni Yellows as well, which can be adjusted from the engine bay (essentially at the ends of your strut tower bar). Why don't you want to replace the springs? Replacing springs doesn't mean you HAVE to lower the car.

Call ProPartsUSA and ask for Jeff: 818-888-8904

They are THE specialist when it comes to Koni
