I'm not sure if my year had the aero package I'll have to look into it, brembos are definitely on the list. For the aero package I need the rear diffuser, lip wing (?) and the chin/splitter? I noticed my 06 has a chin/lip (whatever the proper terminology is) Is that different on the GT? Thanks.
You are correct, the 06 grand touring and track did come with those wheels. The areo package is the chin spoiler, left and right rear diffusers which look like small plastic boxes that go under the car in the rear. I would do your due diligence in making sure the chin spoiler you have is the one on the grand touring. The bumper has a lip molded in, the chin spoiler I installed goes over that lip but under the undertray where it clips. Hope that helps.

I Installed a Hotchkis adjustable front sway bar and some circuit sports adjustable end links last night after work. I took the car on a test drive and they feel great. The car feels way more stable now. It feels like I can really push it harder. No clunks or noises which is great. I did it on ramps so I was able to adjust the end links properly. I have it on full stiff.

I have an autocross this Sunday. I'll report back how it performs on sticky tires.

Can't wait to see how it performs!

Well F Me. I didn't even check to see if the RPF1s would fit over the brembos. It looks like they would need a 20mm spacer. That's not gonna work. I didn't think to check because I ran them last year with the touring brakes. First event of the year is tomorrow. I even got off work from xtreme xperience to do it.

I might have to run BSP on some hoosiers I have for the 240sx.

I ran the Hoosiers I had for My SM 240sx on the Z in BSP class. They stuck out a bit in the front but I didn't rub so the front sway was doing its job. The hoosiers grip amazingly but stock suspension and super sticky tires made it fun but a little strange, felt a bit sloppy. I kept hitting cones due to the turn in. It turned in way quicker than I was expecting causing me to hit cones with the back tires.

I ordered some PF01s for the fronts for this weekend. They should be in on time for this weekend at Peru Indiana. I have a test and tune on Saturday and the event on Sunday. I should have some good feedback then.

I do want to get an exhaust so I can hear what is going on a little more. The stock exhaust is so quiet not to mention heavy.

I attended a test and tune followed by an autocross event at Grissom Aeroplex in Peru IN. This is the site of several national tours. The grip is pretty amazing.

I started the weekend off at the test and tune on Saturday. I had an issue with my clutch pedal not returning. I have experienced this on my 240sx before and all I needed to do was bleed the clutch. Unfortunately, this one would not bleed with the pedal being depressed. I had to ask a friend to drive me to Harbor Freight and get a Vacuum bleeding tool. With that, I was able to bleed all of the fluid and all was good.

Here is a picture of what I removed from it.

Here is my friend and I's Zs.

Here is a video. I was having trouble embedding the youtube link. Below is the hyperlink.

I was way too off the cones and this wasn't my fastest run. I'm still getting used to the platform.

eye-5, are you Ryan W?

I am John Anthony on FB.

RPF01's should fit over Brembos. I know a guy with the full +15 rear set up square on his. oh wait, rpf vs the older ones, that's maybe why.

Yup that is me. Nice.

I have to run the stock offset + or - 7mm for class. The stock offset is 30mm. They come in 18x9 with at 35mm offset. They were not even close to clearing. Even with a 15mm spacer it wouldn't clear, even if it did, it would not have been legal for class due to the change in offset.

The 18 x 10 in a 15mm offset gives you a bit more room with an extra 1/2" + 15mm of offset working in your favor.

aha, that's right - you are classed there. I have only ran with WCBMW and am simply just in an open class that is.. wide open, lol. Gotcha! very cool stuff though.

Some of us are doing 6/20 with LAPS at autobahn if you are interested. And there is another Z in the WCBMW group that does a ton of autox with them and a few other groups too.

That clutch fluid looks like what I pulled out of my 300ZX's clutch line, engine oil!

The course looked really fun, how did it feel with the street tire setup and front sway bar? the car looked a bit more composed compared to mine. (But I also have a square 245 set up)

^ I am running 245 square for now too, on the oem track wheels. I like that they are lightweight, but I somewhat want to run 265 square on my 18x9.5 Enkei's, but they are not light, 24lbs.. does anyone think the 20mm of extra tire is worth the weight penalty per corner? I am thinking maybe not?

The front sway bar on the stiffest setting really settled the car down handling wise. The body roll is reduced big time and the rear comes out much more predictable now. I highly recommend a big front sway bar for C Street.

The RE71Rs are pretty amazing and this site is concrete with a ton of grip. I drove a couple of CS cars back to back including my buddies 2005 anniversary Z. He has shocks but smaller tires. His car felt stiffer than mine due to the shocks. I was faster in my car, one competitor that drove both liked my buddies car better due to the shocks.

What Enkei's? My RPF1s at 18x9 were only 18lbs. My PF01s were 20lbs. I would take the weight penalty and the wider tire. Also, I'd go right to 275s on a 9.5" wide wheel. That is what I'm running front and back with 10" wide in the back and 9" wide in the front.

Which bar again? I just put on the cusco front and at soft for now (20% stiffer), but wont drive an event for another almost 2months :-(

That is super cool on the RE71rs.I hear they are super sticky. I wonder about wear as time goes on? I am afraid to buy them for track usage, but can imagine they are incredible for autox.

They are TSP6's or whatever, bought them for looks really, lol, but they weigh 24lbs, iirc. wow, that is wide. I did just put in Cusco front control arms but will need an aligment. Do you think a 9.5" all around and 275 would work ok with no rubbing for autox?

No problem with rubbing and 275s on mine. It may depend on offset and how low you are. They should be pretty square on a 9.5" rim so you should be able to eyeball it.

I'm running the hotchkis bar on full stiff. I am on stock springs though. If you have stiffer springs, you might not need all the stiffness from the sway bar.

what offset are you at? I went with +15 all around, as I wanted the concave look of the wheels at all four corners lol..

that is cool on the hotchki's, do you know approx what % increase that is? yeah, I will probably leave mine where it's at, I'm guessing, as I have HKS coilovers.

Here is a little video of me at the test and tune last weekend. I felt my driving was a little better here than during the event.
