Who is going to Dixie?

I might actually be out of this weekend. Got a back injury yesterday, not sure if it'll be healed enough by this weekend. Will know by tomorrow morning

Damn guys, yall had me worried the wrx was going to win! Good job everyone and grats to Mike on the win in STU! Looks like you would of had a large gap if you didn't cone all runs yesterday, lol.
I'm glad I didn't go this weekend, my company went through an acquisition Thursday and Friday. So it was very good I was at work figuring some issues out lol. I'll hopefully be at the Wilmington champ tour in August and that's probably the only tour for the Z, concentrating on the TT miata this year.

And congrats Mike on taking the win!
It's been a long time coming. Looks like it might have been drying for you guys first heat on Saturday?
No problem David! Thanks for giving me a few free looks at the test & tune track before I drove it.
Thanks Bryan. Solo storm doesn't seem to want to import video after the latest update, so I'm eagerly awaiting a response to the email I sent tech support. I may just post the video by itself if I can't get it fixed soon.
Oh, and my "almost awesome" run from day one never got recorded
Thanks Teddie. The course started wet on Saturday and got dryer with each run.
Thanks. I may have been a little worried about the WRX winning too. Actually, after coning my final (fastest) run on day one, I was worried about almost everyone BUT me winning. lol
I didn't cone all my runs on day one, just the one that mattered.
I was really lucky that Nelson made the same mistake I made, because he put down a scratch time that was just a few tenths off of my best scratch on day one. Had he been clean on that run, I doubt I could have overcome that deficit.
I really need to pay attention when track conditions are improving so quickly. On a dry track, coning my last run would normally give me a fall-back time a few tenths slower than the run I threw away. With a drying track like that, my fall-back run was way-the-heck back, and so was I....in 5th!
It felt great to successfully dig out of that hole, but I hope to be more mindful of the risk-reward situation before I pull up to the line in future events. Lack of strategy almost owned me.
Chris, Christian and Brian, played it smart and stayed clean on their final runs of day one. When Nelson and I left the door open, they walked right through it and made STU one of the more interesting classes to watch.
Aaron agreed to co-drive with me on day two and was instrumental in helping me dig out of the hole I made for myself on day one.
Going into my final run, he let me know that the track/car was getting faster on its own so I opted to let the needed time (0.2 sec) "come to me", rather than "push" for more time and roll the dice on another almost-heroic, coned-run.
Aaron, if you are on the forum, thanks again for helping me out!
It was nice meeting everyone.

Bummer you couldn't make it! But glad to hear Melissa is getting some love! Back in the day we were mandated by Darrin to even leave the brakepads OEM, how things change. :P
And congrats Mike on taking the win!
