That is the new GT500 car. The other cars were GT300 which will still run also.

I believe it is replacing the Skyline until the new one comes out.
From what I heard it a twin turbo VQ3.0.

Even more then the GT300 car, this car is not a modified road car but a purpose built GT racer. In the above picture the grey through the window is not a roll cage but the actual chassis. As such the body panels would not and could not bolt onto a road car. You could get a kit to look similar to the GT300 Racer (heard someone on this board is trying) but the GT500 one would be way hard as the hoodline is much lower then standard (VQ30TT that sits halfway through where the firewall should be) and impracticaly wide (Hummer eat your heart out).

As such Nissan/NISMO does not and will have no plans on selling this body work as a kit. As for whether someone will built a kit to look like this, I wish them luck but I would prefer the GT300 body work.

You should read over the technical regulations from jgtc.net a little more carefully. The grey seen through the window is in fact a roll cage. The front of the car, the section forward of the firewall, is in all likelihood a tubular frame.

"Bodywork structure fore of the front bulkhead and hind of the rear bulkhead:
Main structure (structural framework) situated fore of the front bulkhead and hind of the rear bulkhead may be cut and replaced by a tubular structure that is connected to the rollcage. In this case, it is obligatory to install a crushable structure defined under the regulations." -JGTC.net Technical Regulations

Also, according to the rules the "all bodywork dimensions and shape must remain original," with exceptions for aerodynamic aids, wheel arches, and a few other things.

JGTC is a essentially a silohuette series. That is why Nissan had to release the special edition Fairlady Z for GT500 homologation.

Now, after all that, I do agree you will never see exact kits to replicate the GT500 cars. The GT300 might be possible depending on which competing car you look at. The closest I have seen any car get to looking like a JGTC car is the Monocraft kit for the Toyota MR2 spyder.

Just my 2 pennies.
