I wonder what the actually temp difference is. I thought about one but I always wondered the actual benefit. I doubt it's as much as we wish it was. Which is why I always dragged my feet.
Although maintaining oil temps is important, this thread was addressing the issue of oil movement in the pan to one side on a banked roval track or high G turns, thus possibly starving the engine of oil because the oil pickup is not submerged in oil.
Concerning oil temps, I have not logged any before/after oil cooler data...I dont even have an oil temp gauge installed lol.
