I snapped the following shot of TC Kline's T2 350Z at Willow Springs today, and I thought I'd share it. I believe it was Nick Esayian behind the wheel. I didn't really pay close attention to where he finished in the sparse National field, but I think he beat the only other T2 entry, a Mazda RX-8 (have a shot of that, too).

Interestingly, a T1 WRX STi was on the pole ahead of a ZO6 and an E46 M3 due the rain-soaked qualifying sessions. A dry track in the race saw the WRX fall back. Results will show up eventually at http://www.calclub.com/html/headerpa...g/results.htm.

 

Is this another one of TC's cars? The T2 350Z that he ran last year was white...

 

I believe that the yellow car is the one TC drove at the 2003 Runoffs. I saw him in a silver car early last season, and since yellow isn't a factory color, it could be that same vehicle.

Nick's fast lap in the Z was about 4/10's faster than Robert Davis in a new RX-8, but over 1.5 seconds slower than TC ran last year. I imagine some/most of that was due to track conditions.

 

TC drove the white one at the RO's. The yellow was the first Z TC ran (Silver) and Hal Brown wrecked at Mid Ohio which was then repainted yellow. Hal ran the yellow one at the RO's.

 

Do you have any hi-res shots?

Are they making parts for the 350Z? A quick glance at their site, all I see is BMW still.
